7 Neuroplasticity Exercises You Should Try

By Patrick Wright

When your brain gets used to a particular daily routine, it gets boring. This is because you will wake up every day knowing the outcome of the day. You will, therefore, develop negative feelings towards life because you know that your day will be full of discontent and distress like all the rest. Therefore, having the same routine every day is not healthy for your brain. The brain thus needs to reorganize the synaptic connections to make it more active. The following are examples of neuroplasticity exercises that you should take part in. These will rewire your brain making it more active.

If you are a bodybuilder and you are used to intense daily exercises, you can exercise for one hour. This intense exercise will help you to re-energize and reorganize your neurons. If you are not used to working out, choose less intense activities. For instance, you can walk along the beach or a public park in the evening to lighten up your brain.

Most people do not like reading books. If you hate reading books because you hate sitting down for a long time in one place, you should look for a good book and read it. Doing things that you hate or you are not used to will make your neurons to be stimulated to the maximum. Therefore, create a list of things you hate doing and do them as they will stimulate your brain.

Also, you can challenge your brain by playing a challenging board game or any other difficult game. This will make your brain to device new tactics to play and win the board game. Therefore, to help your neurons to reconnect and rewire, it is wise to look for challenging games to play. The results will be amazing after the game.

Also, learn to do things in a way that you are not used to. Change routines now and them to challenge your brain. A good example is using your opposite hand to brush your shoes, eat and brush your teeth. This will induce learning, and make the mind to be neuroprotective. Also, cellular metabolism will be induced. Also, neuro-connections will increase making the nerve cell growth-factor to increase as well.

Smiling is also very important for increasing neuro-activity in the brain. It boosts the brain cells any time. Also, smiling helps people to overcome their stress, frustrations, and worries during the day. Therefore, make sure you smile as much as you can so that you can have a better day every day.

You can also practice intermittent fasting so that you can increase synaptic adaptations. Also, fasting will help or promote the growth of the neurons and promote overall cognitive function. Also, it will decrease the risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases that may affect people. Thus, intermittent fasting is good for boosting brain activity.

Traveling is also essential to boost brain activity. When you travel, you will meet many new people and see many new faces. This will help your mind to open up and adapt to the changes. Therefore, the brain will open up new pathways making you more active.
