Details On Canadian Immigration Requirements

By Jocelyn Davidson

If looking to immigrate to Canada, it will be important to first ensure that you have met the set requirements for all immigrants. A person looking for information on Canadian Immigration requirements can go online and use the various calculators that have been established with the main aim of helping individuals determine whether they meet the minimum points. For each requirement, there will be a set of points that one will need to have met.

In the first class or category, an applicant is required to provide information related to his education background. This means providing details on the level of education that he has been able to attain by the time of application. The education category is based on the fourteen years method of education.

When done with completing information touching on education, the next step is to fill in the languages that he is able to communicate in. There are two main languages that are used in Canada. These are English and French.

The maximum points that are awarded for communication are twenty four. Between the two languages, you are required to choose your first and second language. For each language, you need to provide your proficiency levels. The levels are high, moderate, basic and none.

Some people will often look to migrate to the new country as part of the skilled work force. For this particular group, the applicants are required to have worked for a minimum of one year in their respective professions. For work experience, twenty four points are usually on offer.

The minimum amount of work experience required is one year. An individual with one year work experience will be awarded fifteen points out of the twenty four points that are available. The more experience that a worker has, the higher the number of points awarded to him.

Apart from experience, age is also considered when it comes to visas being awarded. For age, the available points are only ten. The points score will therefore be awarded based on how old you are at the time of submitting your application.

In some cases, an individual may receive a job offer from a local company. In such a situation, it will be the responsibility of the hiring company to communicate the employment information to the HRDC. The applicant is not required to submit any information regarding the job that is on offer.

Before immigrating to Canada, each applicant should be able to prove that he has enough money to sustain himself for a couple of months in the new country. This means being in a position to prove that your account has a minimum of ten thousand Canadian dollars. The money should also belong to you and must be transferable to Canada.

In addition to the above categories, further information may also be required before a visa can be processed. Among the details that you may need to provide is whether you have ever been convicted before for any criminal offense. Additional information on health will also be required.
