All About Jessica The Littlest T Rex

By Essie Osborn

When one is a child, he will be at a crucial stage where he will start to learn the ways of life and how to differentiate things that are right and wrong. It is for this reason that story books with moral lessons are extremely important because they both keep the child entertained and also instills values in his head. One such book that hit the kiddie book market is none other than Jessica The Littlest T Rex

Now the writer goes by the name of Richard Hamilton and he has a very unique style when it comes to writing. Even though his book is aimed toward kids, he writes it in such a way that it is rather mature at the same time easy for that age group to understand. Now he incorporates a lot of humor into this book which is actually not very obvious but still quite entertaining.

Now the reason as to why the author chose to write about the life of a dinosaur is simply because everyone is fascinated with dinosaurs. Also, the rough lifestyle of a dinosaur is the perfect way to showcase real life situations to kids in a very entertaining and not so scary manner. Modern situations are what the author would want to present to readers.

Now Jessica, who is a young tyrannosaurus rex, is actually the one that most kids would relate with. She is a young dinosaur who seems to have a hard time fitting in and finding out who she is. Now situations that regular kids would go through like fitting into the crowd or trying to be popular can be seen in the life of young Jess.

Now one of the most important lessons that would come from this book would be none other than friendship. In the story, Jess only had two friends who were Randy and Carol. Randy and Carol were two rodents that Jess made friends with earlier in the story.

Now by reading the story, the reader will find out that these two rodents are the only friends that Jess has. Since she is basically small in stature, no one looks at her as their contemporary and decides not to play with her at all. Since Jess could not fit in with the other dinosaurs, the only creatures she would hang around with were the furry rodents.

Now as these three friends progress in the story, Jess learns the value of friendship and just how important her real friends are. This is an extremely important lesson that the author wanted to instill into the heads of young readers today. Morals are very important in the lives of children and can be taught through simple stories like this.

It is definitely one of the very few childrens books that would have solid lessons for the children to actually learn. Behind the subtle mask of fiction and humor would lie the real life situations that every child would have to go through as he or she grows up. This book will definitely be an inspiration to these children as well as a source of entertainment.
