What It Takes In Developing A Photographic Memory

By Charles Meyer

There are some skills that are truly a gift from God. These are super-skills, like the ability to learn and remember things in the way most other people cannot. The ability to remember images after just a moment of seeing them is an extremely rare gift. Historically, not many people have been blessed with this gift. However, this has not stopped us from developing a photographic memory. There are programs that have been developed to help us realize this, and these programs have been proven to work.

Other than this, there is the eidetic memory; an ability to recall the objects, sounds, an the images after a short moment of exposure. This is truly a God given gift, something only a few of us have. If you consider it as the ability to remember the information or the visual images in a a great detail, then you don't have to worry, this is something you can do, just after training.

You must have been told so many things and steps taken in developing this ability. In a real sense, there are only three ways in which you can develop this ability. These are the genetics, lifestyle and the training. There is nothing you can do about genetics, in fact, only a few of us, less than 0.0001% percent of us have it.

Genetics is the first factor. Our brain capacity is affected by our genetics, and there is no much doubt about this. Just like an elephant is said to have better capacity to recall past events, particularly the grief as compared to other animals, we also differ in our ability to recall events and images. If you are born with this ability, you are lucky, but the rest of us will have to rely on lifelong training and the lifestyle as a whole to get closer to those who have it naturally.

There are many factors within the lifestyle, but all come down to healthy living. The first aspect is good sleep. With the right amount of sleep, the brain is given a chance to reboot and is therefore able to process the new information you get during the day. Through the memory consolidation, the brain will be able to process and store the significant information and discard anything that is not important.

The other lifestyle aspect that is also very important is the mediation. Through mediation, the brain is slowed down, relaxed and given a chance to rejuvenate. It allows the brain to be trained in a particular manner and is often incorporated in all programs that are developed towards improving the power of the brain.

Diet incorporates proper well balanced diet, herbs, the right vitamins and other minerals that have a positive impact on the brain. There are a number of memory enhancing herbs and vitamins, but they should be approved and backed by clinical evidence.

In addition to this, proper exercise is required. This helps to increase the level of blood circulation into the brain. More blood to the brain means more oxygen, which means more energy. Any exercise can do, whether it is weight lifting or aerobics like routine running.

When it comes to lifestyle change, there are surely so many things that you can do. The other aspect is training and this requires input of a professional. Most good programs are sold online. It is good to ensure that you buy your program from a trainer with high level of reputation. In most cases, it is often better to buy a program, test it and if it does not give the desired results, you may consider reclaiming your money within the agreed time period.
