Developing An Excellent Photographic Memory

By Sarah Barnes

Memorizing every bit of our daily activities is almost an impossible task. We can only achieve it by developing a photographic memory. By doing this, our ability to retain knowledge will be augmented. We will also have an aptitude to properly mingle with other people in our social circles. This essential skill can be honed in the following ways.

Melancholies aid in diminishing our ability to remember past events. We need to tackle any situation that may cause us to be stressed, anxious or jittery in order for our brains to perform optimally. Such emotions are damaging to the intellect because they escalate cortisol level in the organ. When it is in vast amounts, the hippocampus, which is the part of the brain that aids in remembrance gets impaired.

Just as it is the case with body muscles, the brain needs constant activation through exercises that challenge our intellectual capacity. When left inactive, it is likely to slip into a form of hibernation. Certain activities play a role in enhancing its capacity. These include taking part in board games, filling code word puzzles and wide readership. Introducing the organ to fresh things increases its alertness thus augmenting its memorability.

Regular workouts also play an important role in increasing ones mental capacity. Normally, physical activities increase blood circulation to vital parts of the body, including the mind. When this happens, it gets nourished more and also receives enough oxygen. This enables to function optimally, thus increasing its capacity.

In order to have a imagery memory, there is great importance in the regulation of liquor intake. Alcohol contains steroids, which have a corrosive effect on the brain. Heavy consumption of alcohol unhelpfully limits the functionality of receptors found on the organ and also destroys its cells. Its recollection ability is thus limited. It has been known for a long time that alcohol damages the intellect and therefore, one should let go of it in order to improve his or her memorability.

When carrying on with our daily activities, many detractors come our way. It is important to avoid such so that at the end of each day, one can recollect everything they did that day. It is important to note that when we forget things, it is never out of poor memory but rather due to distractions. Such inhibitors cause our intellects to register so little, and also to record events in morsels. Amnesia and loss of memory result from this. All addition, multitasking should be carried out with considerable care. When doing several things at a go, we are not likely to take note of the minor details in each activity thus enhancing the loss of information.

Going repeatedly over new words or names of new people and places helps us in registering them in our body of knowledge. During our foremost encounter with new acquaintances for instance, our thoughtfulness ought to be directed at listening to them carefully. Later one, we can recall their names by relating them or their character to people or objects that are already familiar to us.

Consorting names and figures is also helpful in enhancing our ability to remember. This is done by placing related items in lists. When we reflect on the lists in general, we can easily discern the items contained in them
