By Joshua Allen

All nursing professionals know what the NCLEX stands for. This is just an abbreviation for National Council Licensure Examination, which is very important of you want to be a United States registered nurse. Passing this exam guarantees that you become a registered nurse in any of the fifty states. Many offer review classes, so it is up to you to find the right NCLEX review class for your needs.

A thing to remember before making a choice on anything, you must get your facts straight first. And the thing to help you get these facts right is through the use of a simple checklist. The list will help you to get rid of wrong info and keep the right ones. Read on in this article to see what should be included or done with your list.

If you know of any friends or colleagues that have passed the NCLEX ask them if they have used a reviewing service or class to help them do so. Ask them if they would also recommend the same to you and ask their overall experience. If you have no such friends, then it might be time for you to some internet research on your own.

When on the internet do try to gather quite a few providers that you can see and are of interest to you. Take note of general information that they may commonly share such as the number of years that they have been in operation, the success rate of their students in passing the examinations, qualifications of their staff, facilities, schedules and so on and so forth. Try to get a contact number or email so you can also inquire about certain other aspects of their operations.

As soon as you are able to contact them ask how comprehensive their studies will be and how well you will be prepared for the SATA portions of the test. The SATA portion deals with Select All That Apply questions and is the usual Waterloo of many a test taker. Inquire as to what kind of critical knowledge they will provide you with in terms of passing this portion of the test.

How well they prepare you for critical thinking related questions should also be asked of them. Critical thinking is needed for you to ace the high critical analysis questions found in the Prioritization and Delegation parts of the exam. Do inquire as what kind of question sets they use for preparation for this and how recent these question sets are.

Do ask the review center you have a mind of joining as to how often do they do their individual assessments, and if they do these at all. A good center will always do these assessments regularly so that you can be appraised of your own knowledge base and skills as you progress through whatever program that they will put you through. The more these assessments are done, the more you know that the center really cares about your passing than merely getting your hard earned cash.
