Many psychologists suggest that a couple visit occasionally in order to stay back on track. They may have set them various tasks to do out of the session to complete as well.

Support that is ongoing will also be very helpful because it can be very easy to slip back into your old routine. Often, working on a practical level will help you out. For example, when a couple have an argument, they should know what to based on what they have picked up in therapy. However, when this becomes too much, the psychologist should offer them more guidance.
